Thanks for finding the photo for me. Searching on the forum is not so easy for me when I don't speak the language!
I see now where the bracket goes - it's different from the KR51/1 that I have (No.1) where the sicherungsdose and the connector are direct on to the frame. I did find a photo in Werner's book but it is not very clear.

Thanks Nils! The Moser und Ehlers website is new to me and will be a great help.
I'm pretty sure that I don't have the L model electrics because there are only four wires from the generator rather than five. I'm sure that with the clear schaltpläne I shall have no trouble re-wiring.

I am impatient to receive my new parts. They should be here by January 4th, then I can start the rebuilds. Thanks again to all of you who are helping me with your knowledge and experience.

All of you who tell me how bad your English is, you are wrong! I used to teach English as a foreign language to students from all over the world so I should know!

Ich bin ungeduldig auf meine neue Teile erhalten. Sie sollten hier sein 4. Januar, dann kann ich beginnen die Umbauten. Nochmals vielen Dank an alle, die mir helfen mit Ihrem Wissen und Erfahrung.

Alle von euch, die mir sagen, wie schlecht Ihr Englisch ist, sind Sie falsch! Früher habe ich Englisch unterrichten als Fremdsprache für Studierende aus der ganzen Welt, damit ich wissen sollte!

Hi Albi! Sorry to be so quiet lately. Yes, there is news. When my box of parts arrived from Thomas Dumke it was just like Christmas! All the shiny new pieces for my Schwalbe jigsaw, ready to be fitted. First though, I needed to do some painting on the frame and the air box so I removed the tank, mudguard and air box to make space. After rubbing down I sprayed the frame and air box and reassembled. I also pushed the pipe on my WD-40 spray can into the rear ends of the frame and gave the inside a good squirt.
The next job was mounting the air intake hose on the air box and fitting the new carburettor and intake repair kit. At this point I realized that there is a difference in the intake between No. 1 and No. 2. Part of the enjoyment of rebuilding these bikes is the moments of understanding that occur like the illumination of the light bulb in your head. I had been wondering what went on the end of the air intake hose. Ta-daa! Nothing! The next job was fitting the rear wheel and suspension with the chain enclosure and new chain hose. The rear brake on the 51/2 is, as you know, operated by a rod. This is so much better than the Bowden cable system on the 51/1 that I think I'll try to convert it from cable to rod.
Next I wanted to begin the refitting of the electrical components so I fitted the fuse and connector blocks to the bracket that, with your help Sascha, I was able to identify. I connected the wires from the generator and fitted the new 12v coil but, unfortunately, when Thomas sent me the new parts, he forgot the Ladeanlage. I wanted to wait for that to arrive before I continued reassembly so I left No. 2 and did some small jobs on No. 1. The ladeanlage has now arrived but I am away from home for a week so you'll have to wait until I get home and make some more progress.

Hallo Albi! Tut mir leid, so still in letzter Zeit. Ja, es gibt Neuigkeiten. Wenn meine Box von Teilen aus Thomas Dumke ankamen, war es wie Weihnachten! Alle glänzenden neuen Stücke für meine Schwalbe Stichsäge, bereit, ausgestattet werden. Zuerst aber musste ich einige Gemälde auf den Rahmen und die Airbox tun, damit ich den Tank, Kotflügel und Airbox entfernt, um Platz zu machen. Nach Abreiben ich den Rahmen und Airbox gesprüht und wieder zusammengebaut. Ich habe auch schob das Rohr auf meinem WD-40 Spraydose in die hinteren Enden des Rahmens und gab das Innere einer guten spritzen.
Die nächste Aufgabe war der Montage des Luftansaugschlauch auf der Airbox und Einbau des neuen Vergaser und Ansaug-Reparatur-Set. An dieser Stelle erkannt, dass es einen Unterschied in der Ansaugleitung zwischen der Nr. 1 und Nr. 2. Teil des Genusses des Wiederaufbaus diese Bikes sind die Momente des Verstehens, wie die Beleuchtung der Glühbirne in den Kopf kommen. Ich hatte mich schon gefragt, was ging am Ende des Luftansaugschlauch. Ta-daa! Nichts! Die nächste Aufgabe war der Montage des Hinterrades und Suspension mit der Kette Gehäuse und neue Kette Schlauch. Die hintere Bremse auf dem 51/2 ist, wie Sie wissen, betrieben von einer Stange. Das ist so viel besser als die Bowdenzug-System auf dem 51/1, dass ich denke, ich werde versuchen, es aus-Kabel, um die Stange zu konvertieren.
Weiter wollte ich die Umrüstung der elektrischen Komponenten zu beginnen, damit ich die Sicherung und Klemmleisten befestigt an der Halterung, die mit Ihrer Hilfe Sascha, ich war in der Lage, zu identifizieren. Ich verband die Drähte aus dem Generator und montiert die neue 12v Spule, aber leider, wenn Thomas mich gesandt die neuen Teile, vergaß er die Ladeanlage. Ich wollte, dass eintreffen, bevor ich Zusammenbau weiter so I Nr. 2 links und tat ein paar kleine Jobs auf Nr. 1. Die ladeanlage ist nun gekommen, aber ich bin weg von zu Hause für eine Woche so haben Sie zu warten, bis ich nach Hause und erhalten dann weitere Fortschritte.

Hi everyone! It has been three months since I had any news for you but soon I shall have another consignment of parts from Dumcke so that I can finish No.2 and commence on No.1. For the last six weeks I have done nothing because I ran out of parts and had also hurt my back. I can't lift anything and if I stand for an hour I must lie down for two!

I'll find some more pictures and post those soon. In the meanwhile I wish you all Happy Easter!

Seit drei Monaten, seit ich keine Neuigkeiten für Sie hatte, aber bald werde ich eine weitere Sendung von Teilen aus Dümcke haben, so dass ich No.2 beenden kann und beginnen am No.1. In den letzten sechs Wochen habe ich nichts getan, weil ich lief aus Teilen und hatte auch mein Rücken schmerzte. Ich kann nicht heben alles und wenn ich eine Stunde stehe ich muss hinlegen für zwei!

Ich finde ein paar Bilder und poste die bald. In der Zwischenzeit wünsche ich Ihnen allen Frohe Ostern!

Hi Albi! You are right, I've not kept you all up to date with my rebuild. Now that summer is here I find so much else to do that No.2, which is only in need of a battery and exhaust to finish it, is sitting neglected in the garage. I did start to dismantle No. 1 but I will probably wait until Autumn to do a full rebuild.

I'll let you know if I have success when I try to start up No.2.
